Despurate House Cats at Pets in the Park – Danbury

We are excited to share that Despurate House Cats will be attending the 8th Annual Pets in the Park in Danbury on Sunday, October 12, 2025. After such a successful turnout at the recent New Milford event, we’re looking forward to another day of community, education, and animal advocacy.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, October 12, 2025

• Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Location: Candlewood Town Park (Danbury Town Park), across from the Danbury PAL Building

• Rain Date: Sunday, October 19, 2025

At our booth, visitors will have the opportunity to:

• Meet members of our organization and learn more about our mission to get cats off the streets and into loving homes.

• Meet some of our adoptable cats who are ready for forever families.

• Browse and purchase Despurate House Cats merchandise, with proceeds supporting our rescue efforts, medical fund, and daily supplies.

The event itself offers much more, including shopping, demonstrations, rescues, adoptions, and family-friendly activities. Highlights include:

• The Parade of Pets Costume Contest at 3:00 p.m.

• An Animal Blessing Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Pat from the First Congregational Church of Danbury.

• Free face painting provided by Happy Cheeks Face Painting.

Pets in the Park is open to all animal lovers, and attendees are encouraged to bring their pets (on a leash or in a carrier) to enjoy the day.
