At Despurate House Cats, our story begins with a simple but powerful goal: to improve the lives of cats in need.

What started as helping one cat at a time has grown into something much bigger. Every day, we're reminded that rescue alone isn't enough. If we want to make a lasting difference, we have to address the root of the problem: cat overpopulation.

Today, our mission focuses on reducing the number of cats born into suffering through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), providing medical care to sick and injured strays, rehabilitating cats who are ready for indoor life, and finding them loving forever homes. We also work to educate our community, support local caregivers, and advocate for humane solutions that improve the lives of both cats and the people who care about them.

Some cats belong on a couch. Others belong in the communities they've always known. We believe every cat deserves compassion, whether that means a warm bed in an adoptive home or a healthier, safer life outdoors after TNR.

We're proud of every adoption, every colony we help stabilize, every cat that receives life-saving medical care, and every person who chooses to learn more about humane population control. None of it would be possible without the support of our community.
